Love the idea, name and packaging
We love a great marketing idea and “Rubbers” is one of them. We dropped by a friend’s mountain biking booth at the Vancouver Adventure Show back in March and he showed us this new product. Yes, we both ride mountain bikes, and yes we take them up to Squamish and Whistler to trail ride but NO neither one of us has ever changed a tire inner tube. But the “Rubbers” packaging and concept makes me want to learn.
Rubbers Brand Bicycle Tubes
The language on the riderubbers.com website is well thought out and fits the fun but thoughtful theme of the product. “Inner tubes are the unsung heroes of every bike shop and tool kit. So why do they sit on half-hidden shelves, stuffed into ugly boxes, ignored until they’re needed?”
“Trust us, the moment will come when you’ll be able to whip one out at the right time and it’ll save the day.”
Local BC Idea
What is even better is that this great idea is British Columbia born with headquarters in Burnaby, BC. “There are many other well-designed and aesthetically pleasing products in the bike industry, and we felt inner tubes deserved the same fate.” Rubbers and Patch Kits are available for purchase online or at a variety of BC Bike dealers.
Maybe one day soon we will learn to change our own inner tubes…
