This week was the monthly Signature Golf / CK Golf Solutions Skins Game. You can read about the event details in a previous blog. This was the 5th of six events in the series and presented an opportunity to play Greenacres Golf Course in Richmond, B.C.
Greenacres Golf Course was in excellent shape with very good tight lies in the fairways and greens that rolled very true and held their line very well.
The speeds could have been a bit quicker, but for the volume of play they get it is understandable they would want to keep the speed around 8.5 on the stimpmeter.
Greenacres is the perfect course for a Skins Game as birdie opportunities are plentiful. However even though Jeff made two, he got both cancelled out by another player and remains stuck at $105 in earnings this year. His saving grace was winning the 50/50 draw for $25!
The restaurant at Greenacres has undergone some changes over the last few years making it among a few very good golf course restaurants that we know of. The menu has lots of interesting and fresh options and the food is great. The staff were terrific all day and the service was very good.
If you haven’t played Greenacres or haven’t been in a long time, we suggest you get back for a game soon as it is well worth it. Oh, and on a Thursday morning the rounds for the event were played in 3 hours and 45 minutes.
