Today did not start off that great, since the cold that Tara has been trying to avoid since Jeff got sick last week has now landed in full force. But I guess, what better place to have a cold than in a warm sunny climate while laying on the beach. The day started with a walk to the other end of the mile long Playa la Ropa. The beach is wide and pristine, even in the ocean there is not a rock as far as we could walk out. We scoped out a few restaurants for future dinners and stopped at the Elvira Beach Cafe for of course a few cervesas on the way back. With beer being cheaper than water who can blame us?

The remainder of the day was spent by the pool. We managed to secure one of the four covered cabannas for the afternoon. While we have not had any problem finding a prime location at the resort for lounging today was especially quiet. The drink special was buckets of beer which suited us just fine. Jeff even managed a full-on snoring nap under the shade of the cabanna. The staff have been excellent and already know us by name, I guess we have been frequent customers of the food and beverage areas already.

This evening was a quiet one with tea (spiked of course) on the patio to soothe a cold and a few snacks, some cards and an early night. Big day shopping the local markets for the latest bargins tomorrow.
