What is a Push Notification?
Push notifications are the same (but totally different) than text messages. In the case of text messages the user often initiates the contact. In the case of push notifications the user must allow contact from mobile apps that they have downloaded. Both texts and push notifications arrive on your mobile device via a pop-up message and both have open rates north of 90% (compared to good email open rates of 40%+).

Push notifications are generated by you, the business and with a bit of effort your best customers will have opted in to receive them. It is a fast, cheap way to communicate with your golfers.
