Dining in Vancouver – Larson Station
Gleneagles Golf Course
We work with Gleneagles Golf Course and Monaghan Golf on a number of projects so have occasion to make the trek over the Lions Gate Bridge for a meeting every once in a while (thankfully not too often – we hate that bridge!). Larson Station restaurant is located at Gleneagles Golf Course. It is operated by an independent operator (not the District of West Vancouver) and has a restaurant and lounge as well as fairly large banquet facilities.
Decor, Hours and Menu
The decor is more upscale than you would expect for a golf course. There is a restaurant and a lounge and a large outdoor patio that all have great golf course and water views. The restaurant is currently not open on Mondays but will be in the summer months. Lunch is served from 12 noon daily with brunch starting at 9am on weekends. The regular menu includes starters, salads, burgers and quesadillas but also steaks, pasta and fish. The brunch menu includes the basics plus corned beef hash, belgian waffles and a provolone scramble. Jeff opted for the basic Larson Breakfast and I chose the Breakfast Burrito which had green onions, tomatoes, red pepper, jalepeno and cheddar and jack cheeses. The flavour was very good but strangely the cook had also thrown some lettuce in which was a bit strange once the eggs heated it up. The burrito was topped with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. It was a huge portion and too big to finish but was quite good despite the lettuce.
